How calf slimming consultation assessment considers anatomy, function and a personal plan at our London clinic.

Understand the area

Calf shape comes from muscle, fat, bone structure and overall leg proportions. The gastrocnemius is active during walking, running and rising onto the toes, so an assessment must consider function as well as appearance.

What we assess

We examine the calves at rest and during movement, review exercise and footwear habits, and discuss whether muscle bulk is contributing to your concern.

Distinguish muscle bulk from other influences

A fuller calf outline can reflect muscle, fat distribution or skeletal proportions. We assess the area during movement and discuss walking, exercise and strength demands. The recommendation stays focused on your calf proportions and everyday movement.

A plan with a clear purpose

Your goals are discussed alongside everyday movement and strength. We explain which options may be appropriate after examination and how any proposed plan would be reviewed.

Amount, review and timing

For a suitable muscle-directed plan, the fee covers the agreed treatment rather than a per-unit tariff. The amount is chosen around anatomy, muscle activity and function. A complimentary 14-day review and any clinically appropriate adjustment at that review are included. We do not automatically book repeat treatment every three months; the interval follows your response and clinical assessment.
