How shoulder slimming consultation assessment considers anatomy, function and a personal plan at our London clinic.

Understand the area

The shoulder and neck silhouette reflects the trapezius muscles, posture, skeletal proportions and the surrounding tissues. A prominent upper trapezius can have different causes and should be assessed in context.

What we assess

We discuss your work, exercise, posture and any neck or shoulder symptoms. Examination considers muscle activity, symmetry and the role these muscles play in supporting movement.

Your activities help define the plan

Work, exercise and posture can all influence the demands on the trapezius. We assess neck and shoulder movement and ask about symptoms, rather than judging shape alone. A focused consultation explains what is contributing to the outline and whether a proposed option fits your functional needs.

A plan with a clear purpose

We plan around your proportions and daily activities. Your doctor explains the options following assessment, with attention to comfortable movement and a considered approach to any intervention.

Amount, review and timing

For a suitable muscle-directed plan, the fee covers the agreed treatment rather than a per-unit tariff. The amount is chosen around anatomy, muscle activity and function. A complimentary 14-day review and any clinically appropriate adjustment at that review are included. We do not automatically book repeat treatment every three months; the interval follows your response and clinical assessment.
