Understanding HArmonyCa™ and your options
Two materials within one formulation
HArmonyCa combines hyaluronic acid gel with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres and contains lidocaine. The manufacturer describes an initial support effect alongside progressive collagen-focused changes. We explain the role of each part of the formulation and relate that explanation to the proposed treatment area.
A whole-face assessment
Your doctor looks at your face at rest and in movement, listens to your priorities and considers the distribution of support across the face. Tell us which features you like and what you would enjoy improving. The plan explains the proposed areas, amount and placement, with attention to the relationships between your cheeks, lower face and profile.
A treatment plan you can follow
We explain the appointment sequence and when to assess the different stages of the result. You receive guidance for your home routine and a clear review plan. If you are considering another injectable too, we talk through the product types and how each would fit your goals. We want you to leave understanding the reason for every recommendation.
Support and progression in one treatment discussion
The hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite components play different roles within HArmonyCa’s combined formulation. We talk you through the initial support goal and the gradual collagen-focused progression separately. That explanation helps you understand what we assess at the appointment and at review. We also consider how the agreed areas relate to the rest of your face, with the aim of a balanced change that feels like you. Your preferences guide the discussion of the amount and the appointment sequence.

Detailed product guide
HArmonyCa: a hybrid formulation in one syringe
HArmonyCa combines a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres and lidocaine. AbbVie lists a 1.25 ml prefilled syringe presentation, with two syringes per pack. The packaging unit is separate from the amount agreed for your own treatment.
Two components with different roles
The hyaluronic acid component provides initial tissue support. The CaHA component is associated with collagen-related changes that develop over time. Allergan describes this as a dual-effect approach to facial soft-tissue augmentation. Early appearance can also reflect swelling, so the review considers the result as it settles.
How your doctor selects the area
We assess facial support, skin quality and existing volume before discussing placement. A hybrid injectable is not automatically suitable wherever a hyaluronic acid filler might be considered. Your plan identifies the intended change and the amount needed while preserving your natural proportions.
