How forehead lines assessment considers anatomy, function and a personal plan at our London clinic.

Understand the area

Horizontal forehead lines develop as the frontalis lifts the brows. Skin texture, hydration and the position of the eyebrows influence how these lines look at rest and during expression.

What we assess

We assess the forehead together with brow height, eyelid support and the frown muscles. Some people use their forehead to help keep the eyes feeling open, so a balanced plan starts with understanding that movement. Low horizontal lines and a low or heavy brow can call for an especially conservative plan. Where a prescription option is suitable, the dose and placement are chosen individually with the aim of retaining appropriate movement; skin-quality care can be discussed separately for lines at rest.

Low lines and a heavy-brow concern

A horizontal line low on the forehead can be part of the way you lift or support your brows. We discuss the starting brow position and how the forehead contributes, particularly if you already notice heaviness. This can lead to a conservative plan, with skin-focused care considered separately for lines visible at rest.

A plan with a clear purpose

A smoother-looking forehead should still belong to an expressive face. We discuss which lines appear only with movement and which remain at rest, then consider muscle assessment and skin-quality care as separate parts of your plan.

Amount, review and timing

For a suitable muscle-directed plan, the fee covers the agreed treatment rather than a per-unit tariff. The amount is chosen around anatomy, muscle activity and function. A complimentary 14-day review and any clinically appropriate adjustment at that review are included. We do not automatically book repeat treatment every three months; the interval follows your response and clinical assessment.
