Beyond the Face: Lenisna for Neck, Décolletage and Hands
Lenisna is primarily associated with collagen stimulation and natural-looking structural support. In suitable patients, treatment planning may also consider areas beyond the face.
The neck, décolletage and hands are frequently exposed to movement, sunlight and environmental stress. Over time, these areas may develop crepey texture, visible lines, laxity and reduced tissue thickness—even when the face has been carefully treated.
Ageing does not stop at the jawline
Lenisna (also known internationally as Juvelook Volume) is the volumising member of the Juvelook PDLLA–hyaluronic acid family. The manufacturer lists the décolletage and dorsum of the hands among its referenced applications, alongside facial volume, laxity and deeper wrinkles.
Neck and décolletage treatment
The neck and upper chest require a conservative approach because the skin is thin and the anatomy differs from the face. Depending on assessment, Lenisna may be considered to support gradual collagen activity and improve the appearance of:
- Crepey-looking texture
- Fine lines
- Reduced firmness
- Age-related thinning
- Sun-related textural change
It does not remove every horizontal neck line and cannot replace surgery where there is significant laxity. Some patients may benefit from a combination plan involving Ultraformer MPT, another collagen stimulator or carefully selected skin treatments.
Hand rejuvenation
The backs of the hands can lose soft-tissue coverage, making tendons and veins appear more prominent. For suitable patients, Juvelook Volume may be considered to support gradual tissue thickness and improve overall skin quality without creating a bulky look.
Hand anatomy is complex, so treatment requires careful placement and an understanding of vessels, tendons and tissue planes.
Why the treatment plan must be personalised
The face, neck, décolletage and hands should not receive the same dilution, quantity or technique. A doctor must evaluate tissue thickness, movement, previous treatments and the degree of correction required.
Collagen-stimulating treatments develop progressively. Some people may be satisfied after one treatment, while others may be advised to consider additional treatment after an appropriate review period. Results cannot be guaranteed.
Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness and small injection-site irregularities can occur. Other complications are possible and should be discussed during consultation.
