EXPERT ADVICE · LONDON FINSBURY CLINIC
What happens at your free 14-day treatment review?
A natural-looking approach begins with a conversation about your own expression and preferences. At London Finsbury Clinic, we want you to understand the proposed plan and the follow-up before deciding whether to proceed. Where treatment is agreed, a free 14-day review is included as part of your care.
Start by explaining what natural means to you
For one person, a natural result may mean keeping visible forehead movement. Another may be concerned about a particular frown line while wanting other areas left alone. Explain what you like about your face as well as what you would like to discuss.
Your doctor assesses facial movement, anatomy and previous treatment before making a recommendation. A standard number of areas does not mean a standard plan for every patient. The consultation also considers whether your concern relates to expression, skin quality, facial volume or a combination.
Why the review is planned around two weeks
Some prescription options discussed after medical assessment develop their effect gradually rather than immediately. An assessment at around two weeks allows the doctor to review the settled response. Individual timing varies, so your clinician will explain what applies to the option agreed with you.
Avoid judging the final result too early or arranging additional treatment elsewhere before review. Changes in movement can develop at different rates across an area. If you have a concern, contact the clinic rather than wait for the planned appointment.
What happens at your free 14-day review
The review is an opportunity to discuss how you feel about the result and ask questions. Your doctor can reassess movement, symmetry and the goals discussed at your first visit. Tell us about anything that feels different from what you expected.
A review does not mean that more treatment is automatically needed. Any adjustment is considered only when clinically appropriate. Keeping the appointment helps your clinician understand your response and record information that can inform future care.
Aftercare between the appointment and review
Follow the written aftercare advice given for your procedure. Your doctor will explain recommendations about touching treated areas, make-up, exercise, heat and alcohol. Guidance depends on the treatment and your individual circumstances, so follow your own instructions rather than a general social-media checklist.
Do not stop prescribed medication without advice from the clinician who prescribed it. Contact us if you are unsure about the instructions or have a concern. Urgent symptoms require prompt medical attention; a routine follow-up is not a substitute for urgent care.
Planning future appointments
Your review can also help you discuss whether a future appointment is appropriate and when to reassess. It should not commit you to a recurring treatment schedule. Your preferences, response and medical circumstances may change over time.
