Frown lines: understanding brow movement and lines at rest

How frown lines assessment considers anatomy, function and a personal plan at our London clinic.
Understand the area
Frown lines form between the eyebrows as the corrugator and procerus muscles draw the brows inward and down. Skin quality and the depth of a crease at rest help explain why two people with similar expressions can have different concerns.
What we assess
We observe brow movement, forehead activity and the lines at rest. We also discuss what you would like to soften while preserving expression and a comfortable brow position.
Skin texture and a crease at rest
When a crease remains visible between expressions, we discuss the overlying skin as well as brow movement. Juvelook may have a role in a suitable skin-quality plan. The treatment area and product follow assessment rather than assuming that every frown-line concern needs an additional procedure.
A plan with a clear purpose
We distinguish muscle movement from surface skin quality. A skin-quality option may be discussed for texture and hydration where suitable, with the treatment area and product agreed individually.
Amount, review and timing
For a suitable muscle-directed plan, the fee covers the agreed treatment rather than a per-unit tariff. The amount is chosen around anatomy, muscle activity and function. A complimentary 14-day review and any clinically appropriate adjustment at that review are included. We do not automatically book repeat treatment every three months; the interval follows your response and clinical assessment.
