RF: radiofrequency
VOLNEWMER (EVERESSE) uses monopolar radiofrequency. The tip delivers controlled thermal energy with contact cooling. The selected tip, settings, areas and passes help define what a stated number of shots means.
RF and HIFU in London · Understanding your quotation
A shot count tells you part of a device treatment plan. It becomes useful when you know the machine, treatment area and how the shots are allocated. Six hundred RF shots and six hundred HIFU shots are not equivalent treatments.
When you compare London skin-tightening appointments, look beyond the largest number in the advertisement. This guide explains how to read a package so you can compare the actual treatment rather than a headline.
VOLNEWMER (EVERESSE) uses monopolar radiofrequency. The tip delivers controlled thermal energy with contact cooling. The selected tip, settings, areas and passes help define what a stated number of shots means.
Ultraformer MPT uses focused ultrasound with cartridges designed for different depths and delivery patterns. Its shot allowance belongs to that ultrasound treatment; it is not an RF allowance.
Volformer brings the two technologies into one coordinated programme. A clear package lists each component separately, such as a stated HIFU allowance plus a stated RF allowance, with the areas explained.
At our clinic, the 600-shot VOLNEWMER (EVERESSE) package is described as full-face RF. “Full face” should still be explained during your consultation: which areas are included, how coverage is planned and whether the eye area or neck is a separate component.
A useful question is: “Can you show me the areas covered by these 600 shots?” This gives you something concrete to compare with another quotation. Two packages using the same number can have different boundaries, tips or treatment design.
Our 900-shot RF options add an agreed 300-shot component to the 600-shot facial package. The listed choices are full face with the selected eye area, or full face with the neck. They are separate choices, not a promise that every eye and neck area is covered by one 900-shot allowance.
Ask for the facial coverage and whether the proposed pattern focuses on your lower face, jawline or other agreed areas.
Clarify the selected eye area and tip. Eye-area work needs its own precise boundaries; the word “eyes” should not be left unexplained.
Confirm how the neck component is distributed and whether the quoted areas match the concern you want to improve.
No single number describes the whole treatment. With Ultraformer MPT, cartridge selection, depth, delivery mode and placement matter alongside the count. A treatment plan needs to fit the tissue and the areas being addressed, including where existing facial volume should be preserved.
Ask what the allowance is intended to cover and how the doctor will distribute it. A larger advertised number is most useful when the clinic can explain the added coverage. It is not a score that lets you rank every HIFU appointment from best to worst.
Before booking, check whether the advertised duration refers to device delivery alone or the whole visit. Consultation, photographs, preparation, comfort measures and aftercare all take time. A combination involving RF and HIFU has two delivery components and should not be compared with the delivery time of RF alone.
The same principle applies to price. Compare the named machine, areas, separate shot allowances, treating clinician and what is included. A skin booster or hydration treatment is a separate component; its product amount cannot be added to a machine shot count as though they were one measure.
We welcome these questions at London Finsbury Clinic in King’s Cross. Clear explanations help you choose with confidence. Your doctor also explains the sensations and possible temporary redness, swelling or tenderness, together with the device-specific considerations for your skin.
