Excessive sweating: understanding the pattern before choosing care

How excessive sweating assessment considers anatomy, function and a personal plan at our London clinic.
Understand the area
Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, can affect daily comfort, clothing choices and confidence. We discuss where it happens, when it started, possible triggers and the impact on your everyday life.
What we assess
Your consultation includes a medical history and assessment of the affected area. We distinguish a long-standing local sweating concern from a new pattern that may benefit from wider medical investigation.
Your pattern helps guide the medical discussion
Tell us whether sweating is localised, when it began and whether it occurs at particular times or with other symptoms. We review medicines and possible contributing factors. A new or changing pattern can call for a wider medical assessment before deciding on local management.
A plan with a clear purpose
We aim to understand your priorities and explain suitable management options clearly. The appointment starts with assessment; any proposed treatment and its practical details are discussed with you before a decision.
Amount, review and timing
For a suitable muscle-directed plan, the fee covers the agreed treatment rather than a per-unit tariff. The amount is chosen around anatomy, muscle activity and function. A complimentary 14-day review and any clinically appropriate adjustment at that review are included. We do not automatically book repeat treatment every three months; the interval follows your response and clinical assessment.
