Understanding UltraCol® and your options

Understand the UltraCol family

Ultra V describes UltraCol as a PDO microsphere injectable family with 100 and 200 versions. PDO means polydioxanone. The manufacturer describes different particle characteristics across the versions, which makes the named product important to the consultation. We explain the formulation, the area being considered and how the treatment is prepared for your appointment.

A personal discussion of under-eye goals

The eye area deserves a close, individual assessment. Tell us what you notice about skin texture, fine lines, the appearance of the surrounding area and the change you would enjoy. We consider the eye area together with nearby facial support, then explain whether the UltraCol 100 option we discuss at the clinic fits your plan. You can also explore the other under-eye treatments linked from this guide.

Facial skin quality and gradual review

For wider facial goals, the consultation considers texture, firmness and tissue support. We explain the proposed UltraCol formulation and how the area is treated, then agree the appointment sequence and review timing. Collagen-focused treatment is assessed over time. We keep in touch, listen to your feedback and help you understand how your skincare and future appointments fit together.

The formulation matters as much as the family name

UltraCol 100 and 200 share the PDO microsphere material, while the manufacturer describes differences in their particle characteristics and treatment roles. That is why we explain the version being proposed for your appointment. The conversation covers the area, the treatment purpose, preparation and planned distribution. If you have come to discuss delicate under-eye skin, we connect the choice to that close assessment. For wider facial concerns, we explain the plan for each agreed area and how we will review your progress.

Detailed product guide

UltraCol 100 and 200: PDO product differences

UltraCol uses biodegradable polydioxanone, commonly abbreviated to PDO, in a microsphere formulation. PDO is the material; UltraCol is the named product family. An injectable powder formulation is different from a PDO lifting thread, even though the polymer name is shared.

UltraCol 100

The manufacturer’s range includes UltraCol 100 as a skin-quality formulation. At our clinic, under-eye assessment separates fine crepiness from a hollow, pigment or a protruding fat pad. The presence of an under-eye option does not make every dark circle or eye bag suitable for injection.

UltraCol 200

UltraCol 200 is a separate product presentation in the PDO powder range. Your doctor confirms which formulation is proposed, the intended tissue target and how that choice relates to your concern. The product number does not by itself determine the prepared injection volume or a treatment price.

What collagen stimulation means

The manufacturer describes a tissue response around the PDO particles that supports collagen formation as the material gradually degrades. This is a gradual biological process. Improvement and duration vary, and the consultation explains the evidence and realistic expectations for the specific area.
