What is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura is part of IBSA’s Profhilo family. It contains thermally stabilised complexes of high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, made using NAHYCO technology. The 2 ml presentation contains 90 mg of hyaluronic acid in total.
It is designed around age-related changes in facial adipose tissue. Your consultation focuses on soft-tissue support, particularly where changes in the cheek area contribute to a less supported or more hollow appearance.
How is it different from standard Profhilo?
Standard Profhilo is often discussed for hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality. Its usual 2 ml formulation contains 64 mg of hyaluronic acid. Structura has a different formulation, tissue target and treatment technique. A higher concentration does not automatically make it the best choice for every concern.
Structura is also different from PLLA, PDLLA and calcium hydroxylapatite collagen stimulators. It is a hyaluronic acid product, with its own indications and evidence. Your doctor compares suitable options rather than assuming one product treats every sign of ageing.
Which concerns can be discussed?
Age-related loss of cheek support, early tissue laxity and changes in facial balance may be assessed. Your anatomy, skin condition, previous treatment and the degree of change you want guide suitability. It does not remove excess skin or reproduce a surgical facelift.
Your consultation and treatment
We start by listening to what matters to you and what you would like to preserve. Your doctor reviews medical history, allergies, medication and previous procedures before examining facial anatomy. Tell us about pregnancy, breastfeeding, current illness, infection or any previous reaction.
Your doctor explains the proposed treatment area, technique, comfort measures, expected benefits, limitations, alternatives and cost. A cannula-based approach may be used where appropriate. You have time to ask questions and consider your options before consent.
How many treatments are needed?
Published research and manufacturer information commonly describe two sessions about one month apart. Your plan is individual. One session costs £799; two separately charged sessions at this price total £1,598. A two-session course is not included in the single-session price. Maintenance is discussed according to your response.
Results and expectations
The response is assessed gradually. Early swelling is not the final result. Baseline tissue changes, the treatment plan and individual response influence the outcome, so we do not promise a specific degree of lift or a fixed duration for everyone.
Recovery, risks and aftercare
Temporary tenderness, swelling, bruising and redness can occur. Less common injection risks include infection, lumps, delayed reactions and vascular injury. Severe persistent pain, unusual skin colour changes or visual symptoms after injection require urgent medical assessment.
You receive personalised aftercare and advice about review. Tell us about any concerns after treatment so that we can guide you. A staged combination may be appropriate for different concerns, but additional treatment is not automatically necessary or suitable on the same day.
A welcoming, considered approach
Your priorities remain at the centre of your visit. We welcome clients using translation apps, allow time for discussion and aim for proportionate changes that respect natural features. There is no obligation to proceed after your free consultation.

What is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura is an IBSA hyaluronic acid product intended for age-related changes in facial tissue support. The 2 ml formulation contains 90 mg of hyaluronic acid.
Is Profhilo Structura suitable for me?
Your doctor considers facial anatomy, cheek support, skin quality, medical history and previous treatment. It is not automatically suitable for every ageing concern.
How does it differ from standard Profhilo?
Standard Profhilo is commonly discussed for hydration and skin quality. Structura has a different formulation, tissue target and treatment technique. Your doctor explains which option fits your goals.
How long do results last?
Duration and maintenance vary with baseline tissue changes, your plan and individual response. We do not guarantee a fixed duration for everyone.
When will I see results?
Changes are assessed gradually, usually with follow-up after the planned course. Early swelling does not represent the finished result.
Will the result look natural?
The aim is a proportionate result that respects your natural features. Your doctor discusses realistic expectations and whether a conservative or staged approach is appropriate.
Is treatment uncomfortable?
Your doctor explains the technique, comfort measures and likely sensations. Temporary tenderness, swelling, redness and bruising can occur.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
A staged combination may suit different concerns, but additional treatment is not automatically needed or suitable on the same day. Compatibility, timing and cost are explained.
Will I need a review?
Review and aftercare are part of the discussion. Contact the clinic if you have concerns after treatment so we can advise you.
Who performs the treatment?
Injectable treatment at London Finsbury Clinic is performed by a doctor after medical assessment and informed consent.
What happens at consultation?
Your doctor listens to your concerns, reviews your medical history, examines facial anatomy and explains benefits, limitations, alternatives, risks and cost. You have time to decide.
Is it a collagen stimulator?
It is a hyaluronic acid product, distinct from particle-based collagen stimulators such as PLLA, PDLLA and calcium hydroxylapatite. The treatment goal and placement differ.
Does it change muscle movement?
Profhilo Structura is not a muscle relaxer. It is intended for facial tissue-support goals, rather than changing muscle activity.
Does it remove facial fat?
No. It is not a fat-dissolving treatment and does not remove excess skin. Your doctor assesses the cause of any fullness or laxity before recommending options.
How many sessions might I need?
Published research and manufacturer information commonly describe two sessions about one month apart. Your doctor confirms the appropriate course; £799 is the price for one session.
How is the treatment plan chosen?
Your priorities, anatomy, tissue changes, medical history and previous procedures guide the plan. Your doctor explains the product and technique before consent.
What is recovery like?
Temporary bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness may affect plans. Follow your doctor’s aftercare advice. Severe persistent pain, unusual skin colour changes or visual symptoms require urgent medical assessment.
