Lanluma V and X: choosing the product presentation
Lanluma is Sinclair’s poly-L-lactic acid collagen-stimulating family. Its professional information lists two presentations: Lanluma V at 210 mg and Lanluma X at 630 mg. These are different powder quantities, with the formulation and prepared volume discussed separately.
Lanluma V
The manufacturer positions the smaller presentation for smaller areas, including selected face or neck corrections. Your doctor assesses tissue quality, existing volume and the intended change before recommending an area or amount.
Lanluma X
The larger presentation is positioned for larger-area planning, including selected body contour concerns. A larger vial is not simply a stronger choice for every small area. The consultation explains whether skin quality, tissue support or a contour change is the main goal.
A gradual, individually reviewed plan
PLLA treatment is planned around a collagen-related response that develops over time. We discuss the anticipated course, the number of vials and total cost before consent. Body treatment can require several vials or sessions, so the appointment plan should be clear rather than inferred from a single vial price.

What can a Lanluma treatment plan address?
Two presentations, one PLLA product family
Lanluma V is the 210 mg presentation for smaller treatment plans, including selected facial and hand concerns. Lanluma X contains 630 mg and supports planning for larger body areas. These are product presentations, not a one-vial prescription. The amount required depends on the area, tissue and agreed goal.
The purpose can be gradual volume support, improvement in the appearance of skin laxity, or a combination. Collagen development takes time. Early fullness from the treatment fluid is not the final result.
Non-surgical buttock contouring
Sometimes described as a non-surgical BBL, this means an injectable plan to improve selected aspects of buttock contour and skin quality. It does not transfer fat, remove skin or reproduce a surgical buttock lift. We discuss the scale of change you want, the amount of product likely to be needed and whether another approach would be more appropriate.
Hip dips and contour transitions
A hip dip is a normal feature influenced by the pelvis, muscle and fat distribution. Selected shallow depressions may be discussed as a contouring goal. Complete correction or a particular body shape cannot be promised. Your doctor assesses symmetry, tissue coverage and whether the proposed change is proportionate.
Cellulite appearance and crepey texture
Cellulite, localised dimpling and loose skin are different concerns. A collagen-stimulating plan may be considered for selected texture or firmness goals, but it is not a guaranteed cure for cellulite. Deeper tethered dimples or substantial skin excess may need a different assessment and treatment.
Upper arms, thighs and abdomen
Skin quality and mild laxity can be assessed separately from excess fat. Lanluma is not a weight-loss or fat-removal treatment. Existing stretch marks, skin thickness, weight stability and earlier body procedures all affect what a realistic plan may achieve.
Face, neck and décolletage
Smaller areas require careful assessment of skin, tissue support and existing volume. A plan for gradual support differs from precise lip enhancement or an under-eye filler. Your doctor explains whether PLLA, another injectable, an energy-based treatment or skincare better fits the concern.
Hands and individual skin-quality goals
Changes in hand appearance can involve skin thinning, dryness and volume loss. We discuss which component matters to you and compare the relevant options. Body treatment protocols and product indications vary by area and market, so any use outside the stated indication is explained before consent.
What does the evidence tell us?
A published observational study followed Lanluma treatment in several face and body areas. It adds useful clinical information, but it had no untreated comparison group and does not establish a guaranteed outcome for every body-contouring goal. Results, maintenance and the number of sessions remain individual. Bruising, swelling and lumps or nodules are among the risks discussed at consultation.
