What Is Hyaluronidase?
Hyaluronidase is an injectable enzyme used to dissolve hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers safely and effectively. Whether you’re experiencing complications, overfilling, uneven results, or simply wish to reverse previous filler treatments, hyaluronidase offers a reliable solution.
What Does It Do?
When injected into the treated area, hyaluronidase breaks down hyaluronic acid — the main ingredient in many dermal fillers — allowing your body to naturally reabsorb it. This process helps restore your natural appearance or prepare the area for a more refined filler application.
Why You Might Consider Filler Dissolving:
- Overfilled or unnatural results
- Lumps or uneven texture
- Migration of filler
- Vascular complications (emergency dissolving)
- Desire to return to your natural look
Note: A patch test may be required prior to treatment to ensure no allergic reaction to the enzyme.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)
How long does the treatment take?
The procedure typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Is the dissolving process immediate?
The procedure typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Will it dissolve all my filler or just the unwanted parts?
Hyaluronidase is not selective — it will dissolve all hyaluronic acid-based filler in the injected area.
Is the treatment painful?
You may feel some mild stinging or discomfort, but a numbing cream can be applied beforehand.
How soon can I get new filler after dissolving?
It’s recommended to wait 7–14 days before reinjecting to allow the tissue to settle.
Can all types of fillers be dissolved?
Only hyaluronic acid-based fillers (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal) can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Side effects are rare but may include swelling, bruising, or allergic reaction. A patch test can reduce this risk.
Is a consultation required?
Yes, a consultation is essential to assess your needs and confirm suitability.
Will it affect my natural hyaluronic acid?
The enzyme may temporarily affect your body’s own HA in the area, but this naturally regenerates over time.
Can I dissolve filler if it was done elsewhere?
Yes, filler can be safely dissolved even if it was done at another clinic, as long as it is hyaluronic acid-based.
